What Participants Said About Green Business Camp
I had few expectations upon my arrival at Green Business Camp. When I entered, I instantly felt a buzz after seeing people posting their session topics on the wall and voting. I’ve been to several conferences where everything felt very staged and uncomfortable to voice an opinion at. At GBC I felt my hand went up constantly and I was chiming in and speaking with other business owners. It felt very much like a community not like a competition. We’ve made several great connections, hopefully people we can work with or send business to, and I will definitely be going to the next event (and bringing a few people with me).

Passionate people making a difference in the world come to Green Business Camp. We gather in collaboration to solve some of our biggest challenges today. The format, sophistication and pure joy are worth the price alone. But the take away inspiration is priceless.

I decided to attend Green Business Camp because I wanted to collaborate with innovative individuals about what matters most to them with respect to the green movement. The unconference had the perfect format for inquiry and discussion that could help entrepreneurs move forward on some of their most pressing business concerns.

GBC allows all attendees, not just discussion leaders, to share their ideas and best practices with each other, and helps people in the field build collaborative professional relationships.

I’m already putting my new contacts from Green Business Camp to work! The un-conference format facilitates even better interpersonal networking than traditional conferences. The attendees all pool their knowledge to help each other on a range of topics chosen in the moment. People with a problem to solve and people with knowledge to share come together to engage in a group. People who connect in those groups may very well become collaborators after the conference ends.

1) I attended the Green Business Camp in order to gain information and to meet green business people in the Bay area.
2) The unconference format was unique and very effective.
3) I enjoyed the fact that participants got to chose which areas they were most interested in.
4) There were so many insights/resources/connections that I cannot pick just one.
5) GBC was a great chance to meet articulate, educated individuals who are actively making a difference in our world today.
6) Great job!

GBC was excellent! I took home some excellent ideas which we can implement immediately in order to improve our business. It’s amazing what great learning can happen when a bunch of talented people get in one room together. Thank you!

I liked how the conference planners worked to insure that the event was affordable and reachable by public transit. The un-conference panel sections were planned in a fair way too. Lastly, I am grateful to have met some very smart and interesting people.

I think that one can reconcile being and modern individual in a industrial world. GBC is taking the steps necessary to educate businesses and business owners about resources and solutions available to their cause or mission.Being a green citizen does not have to hurt not does it need to be an inconvenience, it can be something that can be done everyday, day in and day out.
